Outside of his work in real estate, Shanon stays deeply connected to his first love: horse racing. He remains active in racehorse ownership, with a proud stake in several top-tier horses — including Just Fine (aka Jerry), a Group 1 Metropolitan winner and Melbourne Cup runner.

Back home, he’s most at peace in his garden — cultivating sustainable, edible landscapes filled with fruit trees, herbs, spices, and native bush tucker. A lifelong passion that’s as grounding as it is rewarding.

A born builder at heart, Shanon’s skills in woodwork and metalwork were passed down from his father — though if you ask him, he’ll always pick timber over steel. He’s also a proud collector of 1980s–90s toys, racing memorabilia, and anything that brings a dose of nostalgia and joy.

He loves good food, memorable conversations, and connecting with people beyond surface-level small talk. Always a learner, Shanon is a big fan of personal development, preferring audiobooks these days so he can learn while he’s on the move. (Need book recommendations? Just ask — he’s got a list.)
